Wrigley Update

As we mentioned earlier, Rusty was very very jealous of Wrigley and would not have a thing to do with him when Jon first got him. He would bury his head so he wouldn't have to even look at the puppy and sometimes was pretty nasty to him. Rusty now tolerates him and they even play some together. What is funny though is how Wrigley imitates Rusty. Whatever Rusty does, Wrigley does also. When Wrigley is over here, you just look for Rusty if you want to find him. Jon was gone last Saturday so Wrigley was here for the day. After a hard day of running around, we looked out on our driveway late afternoon and this is what we saw. Mindy

Adventures in Babysitting

Ok - it wasn't so much an adventure as it was laughs and furniture climbing. Thought I would post a few to add to the collection. Aubrey and Courtney entertained the twins well (and I did very well in Wii bowling, I might say.) Thank you Pam for your schedule - they followed it to a T .

By Request

OK, some more pictures.
You Lower children may recognize where Darrin & Pam & girls are hiking. I did take pictures (from a distance) of them flying their kites, but not sure it is clear enough to put on the blog. That is Gracie hiding under that hat. Pam was in similar setup with Loren. The girls quickly figured out where to hold on.

You will also notice that Gracie is very pleased with her pink shoes. A girl needs to appreciate new shoes when she gets a chance.

I'll keep sorting through.

Take care, Sharon

Jon's New Roommate

Jon has just added a new member to his family. He is not sure what to call him yet, but is considering Wrigley. Leave him a comment on what you think he should call him.

Outer Banks Part I

Hello all,

Well, we made it back in the nick of time - just before the tropical storm set in. The weather for us was perfect the whole week, the house was great, and no one was seriously burnt (although they were checking on me regularly!)

Here are a few pictures to get the idea - it was hard to pick and Pam has some great ones as well. (One or two of hers will surprise you!) Between sand castles, kites, umbrellas and beach chairs the week was very fun. Still finding sand in strange places, though.....Sharon

Courtney's New Home

Now that the new furniture has come in and some pictures are hung - Courtney feels comfortable officially declaring this HOME.

Here are a few pictures of the front and the downstairs - the upstairs is still a work in progress. IKEA has been a benefactor of this effort, and Swedish directions and "funky" wrenches aren't so bad after a bookshelf or two...The girls (Maddie & Molly) have adjusted well and love showing it off to visitors.

The bird feeder is hung outside, but Courtney is considering asking for a pellet gun as a house warming gift for the "darn starlings" (to quote Grandpa).
