Sledding Fun!

The Smiths went sledding today at Veterans Acres in Crystal Lake. It was a nice hill with quite a few other kids there. We started on the small hill and after about 3 runs, Hunter wanted to go on the "big hill, all by myself!" Unfortunately my camera was not holding a charge...even though the battery light was green when we left the house... So this is the only photo I could squeeze out of the camera. Rylan did 2 runs with Rob and Hunter but was not that excited about the whole deal.
We hope all of you have a Happy New Year....Rob and I are headed out in to see Charlie Wilson's War (I want to see Kite Runner....but somehow it isn't being shown in our area yet....argh!) and then dinner. Hopefully we can find a place....seems like there aren't any reservations left. Maybe McDonalds will be the cuisine of the night... Have a safe and great night! Take care! ~Becky

Time Went So Fast

The leftovers are gone and the fridge is empty. Xmas is over. I don't know where time went. We looked forward to seeing everyone and see how much the little ones had grown. Rylan and Hannah were both walking. They were busy watching the dogs. Hunter was checking to see if any packages had his name. Aubrey was proud of her new sisters. Next year they will be running and playing. We would like to thank everyone for the s[ecial gifts. We went to the movie yesterday. There always is a sadness when everyone leaves. Was glad everyone made it home safely. Mom

Andy's Christmas Vacation

The Smith Christmas

We had a wonderful time seeing everyone and spending time with so many wonderful family and friends! Thank you all! We have been trying to get back to normal here....or so we hope to be back to normal sometime before January. The toys are all in the basement and any toy that has more than 1 piece is already strewn about. Many of them have taken rides in the dump truck. On our way home from Lanark, Hunter (who was extremely tired) said in a whiny voice..."all I wanted was a tool bench." "I only wanted 1 thing, a tool bench." He kept repeating this over and over and when I mentioned that "we can take back the roundhouse, or the piggy truck, or......" His reply was "No, I like that (toy)......but all I wanted was a tool bench." AUGH! The joy of kids and Christmas! It was truly a great blessing to watch the boys enjoy Christmas and warm up to everyone.
From here until school starts for Rob (Jan 10), we (Rob & I) are planning on relaxing and the boys are enjoying the toys. Thanks again! We love you all!

We had a very good Christmas and thank everyone for your gifts, food, and fun! Becky and Rob headed back on Christmas Day afternoon. Jason and Joy went back today at 10:30. Aaron arrived back to Lanark from Champaign at 5:00. The weather for traveling was greatly improved. I'm hoping someone got a picture of the twins' baptism and will be able to put it on. Mindy
